For several years, the SOS Planas association has been carrying out essential work to defend the rights of property owners and finally obtain the minimum services that the Municipality of Pratdip is legally required to provide to Planas del Rey since the dissolution of the EUCC in 2016.

A fight for minimum services

Despite the legal victories obtained – in particular the official confirmation of the dissolution of the EUCC and the clarification of the municipality’s obligations – no concrete improvement has been made by the Town Hall. Property owners continue to observe, year after year, the lack of maintenance, services and investment.

Faced with this situation, and in order to ensure compliance with the law, the association has decided to initiate a new legal procedure, essential to compel the municipality to assume its responsibilities towards Planas del Rey.

An essential call for donations

This legal action represents a significant cost for a volunteer-based association like ours :

  • lawyer’s fees ;
  • administrative charges and filing fees ;
  • long-term legal follow-up ;
  • management of all necessary procedures.

To ensure the continuity of this action, SOS Planas is calling on property owners to mobilise. Even a modest contribution can help effectively support this essential process for the future of our urbanisation.

Every euro collected will help continue the efforts to obtain the services to which we are entitled : safety, lighting, road maintenance, water supply, upkeep…

Why act now ?

We are at a crucial moment. The Town Hall is preparing projects that could bind the property owners of Planas for many years, with no guarantee of any real improvement in the daily life of the urbanisation. At the same time, it continues to ignore the legal obligations that have applied to it since 2016.

Ensuring minimum services during the works

Property owners are not opposed to renovation works in Planas – quite the contrary. Upgrading the water supply network, sewers and streets is necessary and beneficial for everyone.

But these works will last several years. And the Town Hall already fails to provide the minimum services today. We therefore have a legitimate concern : who will ensure lighting, water supply, maintenance, security and continuity of services during the entire duration of the works ?

The legal action undertaken by SOS Planas also aims to guarantee that these services will be provided before, during and after the works, in order to avoid a further deterioration of the situation and to protect the interests of all property owners.
