1. A Worrying Situation Regarding Household Waste

The company Secomsa, responsible for waste management, recently assessed the sorting habits and behavior of the residents of Planas del Rey. The verdict is clear: incivility prevails.

Much improvement is needed in terms of civic behavior. To improve the situation, we must all adopt the right actions:

  • Dispose of household waste in the appropriate container
  • Sort cardboard and plastic properly
  • Use the designated container for bulky items
  • Report uncivil behavior whenever we witness it

Given these widespread shortcomings, a meeting will soon be organized to discuss the most effective ways to improve our waste management practices.

2. A Controversial Water Agreement

During the same meeting, an engineer from the company Comaigua presented a proposed agreement regarding water management. This agreement would involve an additional contribution of approximately €40 per year and would cover certain services such as leak repairs and pump control.

But beware: this price does not include major repairs or network renewal, which would be billed separately. These costs could be very high.

The majority of residents expressed their disagreement. Why?

  • Because the agreement does not clearly define the scope or cost of future works
  • Because the municipality used the occasion to once again remind us that we are a private development and that they could force us to carry out the work

In light of these uncertainties, the residents’ position is clear: “If you don’t revise the terms of the agreement, we don’t want it.”

The municipality then ended the discussion. No agreement was reached.
