At the end of 2025, the Pratdip town council adopted several fiscal decisions that will come into force from 2026. These measures concern all residents and property owners in the municipality.

The information below comes from official publications.

Two fiscal decisions applicable from 2026

  • Waste tax: +€38 per year compared with the amount currently paid.
By way of example, this represents an increase of around +20% compared with the amount currently paid by some households.
The exact impact may nevertheless vary depending on each household’s situation.
  • Municipal tax on building works: increase of the rate from 3.04% to 3.5% of the total cost of the works.
Example: for €10,000 of works, the tax increases from €304 to €350, i.e. an increase of €46.
This is therefore an increase in an existing rate that has been in force for several years.

Services already financed

Waste collection has been financed by residents for many years. The town council was already passing on the cost of this service and, from 2026, the bill will increase once again.

In Planas del Rey, this increase comes at a time when minimum municipal services are still not guaranteed.

Official publications and opposition deadlines

These decisions have been officially published. However, they can easily go unnoticed if one does not regularly consult the town council’s sede electrónica or the BOPT.

A period of one month was provided to lodge an objection. No specific information was communicated to residents in this regard.

Hence the importance of sharing this information so that everyone can be made aware of it

IdCAT: an important tool for residents

The IdCAT is the Catalan digital identity.

It allows users to:

  • access official documents (taxes, budgets, decisions),
  • be informed about administrative publications,
  • respond within the legal deadlines.

The procedure to obtain IdCAT is relatively time-consuming, but once obtained it is definitive and particularly useful.

Without IdCAT, many decisions may go unnoticed.
