On 5 August 2001, Planas del Rey property owners gathered in Pratdip for the annual general meeting of the Urban Development Conservation Entity (EUCC).

The meeting marked an important step towards completing the development’s infrastructure and preparing for its eventual handover to Pratdip Town Council.

What was decided?

Property owners voted unanimously in favour of drawing up a new development plan, rejecting both the existing management arrangements and the earlier works programme.

They also approved an audit of the EUCC’s accounts covering the previous five years. Approval of the 2000–2001 accounts was postponed, while the ordinary budget for 2001–2002, amounting to 21,369,000 pesetas, was adopted.

Regarding communal areas, the meeting agreed to seek enforcement of a court ruling requiring their transfer to Pratdip Town Council. Owners also supported reopening the swimming pool, provided it could meet the applicable safety and operating requirements.

The minutes also cover discussions about obtaining water from a well associated with the nuclear power plant and the confirmation of the governing board chaired by Michel Cabiac.
