On 26 May 2019, residents of Pratdip are called to elect the seven members of the Town Council.

Two lists stand in the election: JxCat-Junts, led by outgoing mayor Joan Maria Rovira Vernet, and Avança Pratdip (AvP), a new political group taking part in municipal elections for the first time.

Of the 572 registered voters, 487 take part in the election, representing a turnout of 85.14%.

JxCat-Junts receives 316 votes and wins five of the seven council seats. Avança Pratdip receives 148 votes and enters the Town Council with two representatives: Óscar Serrano Daura and Glòria Moreno Castillón.

In simple terms: JxCat-Junts retains an absolute majority on the Town Council, while Avança Pratdip enters the municipal council for the first time.

A few weeks earlier, Avança Pratdip had presented its programme and list of candidates for the 2019 municipal elections.
