A Homeowners\u2019 Association: a good idea\u2026 at the wrong time<\/h2>\n

In recent days, the possibility of creating a homeowners\u2019 association<\/span> in Les Planes del Rei has been raised.<\/p>\n

To discuss this, the association Unidos por Planes del Rei<\/span> has invited all property owners to a meeting on August 6, 2022<\/span>.<\/p>\n

Opinions on this subject vary widely. As the spokesperson for the Avan\u00e7a Pratdip group<\/span>, I wish to clarify that I am expressing here only my personal opinion<\/span>, respecting the diversity of views within our group.<\/p>\n

\n

A desirable union\u2026 but under better conditions<\/h2>\n

It is true that unity among property owners<\/span> is essential to defend our urbanisation.<\/p>\n

A joint association could facilitate democratic debate, support collective decision-making in the general interest, and strengthen social and cultural ties within Planas del Rei.<\/p>\n

But the timing of this initiative seems inappropriate<\/span> to me.<\/p>\n

\n

A conflictual context: the reparcelaci\u00f3n<\/h2>\n

At present, our urbanisation is facing a major issue: the reparcelaci\u00f3n<\/span>.<\/p>\n

A large majority of property owners reject the project approved by the Town Hall<\/span>. A legal case brought by SOS Planas<\/span> is ongoing, and its outcome will have consequences for all property owners and our relationship with the Town Hall<\/span>.<\/p>\n

Many oppose the methods of the municipal council<\/span>: lack of dialogue, disregard for residents\u2019 wishes, failure to provide minimum services, and attempts to impose controversial works.<\/p>\n

\n

A proposal dictated by the Town Hall<\/h2>\n

The project to create a new homeowners\u2019 association does not originate spontaneously from residents<\/span>.<\/p>\n

It is, in fact, promoted by the Pratdip Town Hall<\/span> to advance its PAU 4 development plan<\/span>.<\/p>\n

The Town Hall\u2019s legal department<\/span> has even already drafted statutes<\/a> explicitly referring to an \u201centidad urban\u00edstica colaboradora\u201d \u2014 in other words, a new EUCC<\/span>.<\/p>\n

This strategy raises many concerns about the Town Hall\u2019s true intentions.<\/p>\n

\n

Priority: defending against the reparcelaci\u00f3n<\/h2>\n

Before creating any new association<\/span>, we must focus our efforts on:<\/p>\n
