Information for all property owners of the Entity.<\/h2>\n

Dear property owners,<\/p>\n

As of October 31, 2017, with our financial assets reduced to just \u20ac3,927.51, we are reaching the end of the management of the EUCC Planas del Rey.
\nAs a consequence of this lack of funds, our workers have been dismissed and will no longer maintain Planas from November 1, 2017 onward.
\nPlanas is therefore left to its own fate. We deeply regret having reached this state of chaos, for until the very end, we waited in vain for a satisfactory reaction from the political leadership of PRATDIP.<\/p>\n

\n

A difficult management<\/h2>\n

From the beginning, the financial management of our entity has been difficult due to a significant number of owners failing to pay their community fees, made even worse by the fact that recovering their debts (MOROSOS) is slow and very difficult due to the current laws and justice system in this country.<\/p>\n

In July 2016, the Superior Court of Justice of Catalonia issued a ruling to dissolve our entity.<\/a> However, this court decision was not followed, as we had hoped, by an enforcement ruling that would have outlined its implementation procedures.<\/p>\n

\n

A decree to avoid assuming responsibility<\/h2>\n

Very quickly, the PRATDIP Town Hall rushed to issue a municipal decree to avoid being immediately obliged to take over our entity.
\nFollowing this decision by the TSJ and the legal uncertainty that resulted, some owners chose to stop paying their fees. There was a clear intention to reduce our entity’s finances to zero with the ultimate goal of ending the self-management of Planas and forcing the PRATDIP Town Hall to face its responsibilities. NOW, THAT TIME HAS COME.<\/p>\n

\n

What is the political landscape in PRATDIP after the 2014 elections?<\/h2>\n

The “CONVERGENCIA” party holds the majority with 3 councilors including the mayor.
\nThe “UNIDOS POR PLANAS” party was also part of this majority with 1 councilor. The “PSC” party is in opposition with 3 councilors.
\nThe “Unidos POR PLANAS” group rightfully left the majority in April 2017 because the mayor failed to honor the agreements he had signed with them in favor of Planas.<\/p>\n

To this day, the “CONVERGENCIA” party holds only 3 out of 7 council seats, facing 3 councilors from “PSC” and 1 from “UNIDOS POR PLANAS”.<\/p>\n

While we believed that politics could be the only solution for Planas, we are forced to recognize that both the PSC (3 councilors) and UNIDOS POR PLANAS (1 councilor) failed to reach an agreement to form a new majority, which could have proven much more useful for Planas. Yet, both sides met on several occasions, but we do not know the demands of either party, which probably prevented them from coming to an agreement.<\/p>\n

\n

A failure for Planas<\/h2>\n

This is a failure for Planas, which is now facing chaos, but also for our brave workers who have lost their jobs \u2014 and for the authorities and all responsible parties, this is a disgrace!
\nKnowing that PRATDIP receives over \u20ac400,000 annually in property tax (IBI) from our properties, as well as nuclear subsidies thanks to the residents of Planas who are officially registered (empadronados), we are entitled to ask many questions about what PLANAS really represents to them.<\/p>\n
