Three days without water for many residents<\/h2>\n

Due to the outdated condition of our water supply infrastructure, many homeowners found themselves without water from December 31, 2017 to January 2, 2018<\/span>.
\nOur request for help from the Mayor of Pratdip went unanswered:
\n\u201cYou are a private urbanization, I can\u2019t do anything for you.\u201d<\/em>
\nSo be it!<\/span><\/p>\n

Residents mobilized against the Mayor\u2019s refusal<\/h2>\n

On January 2, around twenty property owners of various nationalities went to the Mayor\u2019s office to protest. The response was the same as before!
\nWe reminded the Mayor that in the agreement signed with him in 2015
\n\u2013 an agreement that helped him secure the position of Mayor \u2013
\nhe committed to renegotiate the unfair contract with COMAIGUA regarding the maintenance and servicing of the Planas wells. He did nothing, which led our group to leave his majority.<\/p>\n

Unjust bills and lack of service<\/h2>\n

We also reminded him that our water bills include a line for \u201cQuota de Servei\u201d<\/span>, a service charge paid by COMAIGUA to the Pratdip Town Hall. We also pointed out that water in Planas is significantly more expensive than elsewhere.
\nHis answer? None<\/span>.
\nNO, NOTHING, NOTHING FOR PLANAS! IT\u2019S A DISGRACE!<\/span><\/p>\n

Collective complaint: how to proceed<\/h2>\n

We invite all property owners to file a complaint with the Town Hall using the attached form available here.
\nSteps to follow:<\/span><\/p>\n

    \n
  1. Print the form<\/li>\n
  2. Fill it out and sign it<\/li>\n
  3. Scan it<\/li>\n
  4. Email it to: ajuntament@pratdip.cat<\/li>\n
  5. And send a copy to: contact@latribunedeplanas.com<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    All property owners present at the Town Hall on January 2 completed the form to express their dissatisfaction.<\/p>\n

    Complaint for vandalism and sabotage<\/h2>\n

    In addition, several Planas residents have filed complaints with the Mossos d\u2019Esquadra<\/span> (Catalan Police, based in Cambrils) for vandalism, sabotage, and the Mayor\u2019s refusal to supply the necessary water to our urbanization.<\/p>\n

    A solution from the residents<\/h2>\n

    Last night, around 6 p.m., water was restored to every house thanks to the intervention of two homeowners, Mr. Bernardo Gallardo and Mr. Cristian Pi\u00f1ero, with the help of our Municipal Councillor Mr. \u00d2scar Serrano. We sincerely thank them.<\/p>\n

    A wake-up call for the future<\/h2>\n

    We take this incident \u2014 which could have been much worse \u2014 as a reminder that at any moment, a serious problem can arise in Planas, and the Town Hall will once again refuse to act.
    \nIt is time to change this Municipal Council. The only solution:<\/p>\n

    **MASS VOTING IN THE NEXT 2019 MUNICIPAL ELECTIONS.**<\/h3>\n

    We will inform you soon about how to register to vote.<\/p>\n

    What the courts say<\/h2>\n

    – Let us recall that since 2008, the Pratdip Town Hall has been condemned by the High Court of Justice of Catalonia (TSJC)<\/a> to take responsibility for garbage collection and water services in Planas.
    \n– Since 31\/10\/2017, the EUCC has closed its doors permanently<\/span>, forced by a     TSJC ruling from July 2016<\/a>, and by the owners’ decision to stop paying unjustified fees.
    \n– Since 2010, the company Comaigua<\/span>, mandated by the Town Hall, has been responsible for managing water in Planas.<\/p>\n

    An unprecedented event<\/h2>\n

    It is the first time that residents of Planas have filed complaints against a Mayor of Pratdip.<\/p>\n
