The registration period in the Falset Property Registry has expired, but the mayor maintains the project is still ongoing&#8230; since 2012.<\/p>\n<hr style=\"margin-bottom: 30px;\" \/>\n<h2>Severe failures in essential services<\/h2>\n<p><span class=\"accentue\">March 6, 2018<\/span>: report submitted to the municipal council regarding the lack of street lighting in the urbanisation.<\/p>\n<p>Numerous complaints about water supply cuts were submitted by Oscar Serrano and several property owners.<\/p>\n<p>Protests targeted illegal occupants in Gladiolo Street. After confrontations, Oscar Serrano filed a complaint with the Mossos d\u2019Esquadra and was summoned to court. Pressure led to the occupants leaving, but other houses in Planas remain occupied.<\/p>\n<hr style=\"margin-bottom: 30px;\" \/>\n<h2>Transfer of keys to the town hall<\/h2>\n<p><span class=\"accentue\">May 2018<\/span>: in response to accusations of tampering with infrastructure, all keys to the wells and the wastewater treatment plant were handed over to the town hall, which is now solely responsible for their management.<\/p>\n<hr style=\"margin-bottom: 30px;\" \/>\n<h2>Collective complaint for lack of water and equipment damage<\/h2>\n<p><span class=\"accentue\">June 26, 2018<\/span>: complaint filed with the Mossos d\u2019Esquadra regarding:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>lack of water<\/li>\n<li>pool drainage<\/li>\n<li>shutdown of the wastewater treatment plant<\/li>\n<li>embezzlement (lifeguard position)<\/li>\n<li>damage to property (pool)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span class=\"accentue\">June 27, 2018<\/span>: petition submitted to the town hall after the mayor refused to open the Sorts well, despite an explicit request from our councillor.<\/p>\n<p>An environmental complaint was also filed due to the risk of explosion, saturation, and toxicity caused by the closure of the treatment plant. It was submitted to the Cambrils Catalan police.<\/p>\n<hr style=\"margin-bottom: 30px;\" \/>\n<h2>Political deadlock in the town council<\/h2>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.latribunedeplanas.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/02\/2018-01-18-motions-deposees-ala-mairie-fr.pdf\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\">Eight motions<\/a> were submitted during the plenary sessions of <span class=\"accentue\">January 18<\/span>, <span class=\"accentue\">March 22<\/span>, and <span class=\"accentue\">July 6, 2018<\/span>. None were accepted. The municipal council continues to refuse to assume responsibility for basic services.<\/p>\n<p>An emergency appeal procedure was initiated after the mayor refused to allow a vote on the urgency of the motions presented on July 6.<\/p>\n<p>The legal situation of the former EUCC workers is still pending in court.<\/p>\n<hr style=\"margin-bottom: 30px;\" \/>\n<h2>A substantial revenue not reinvested<\/h2>\n<p>Every year, the town hall of Pratdip collects approximately <span class=\"accentue\">\u20ac560,000<\/span> from Planas property owners:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span class=\"accentue\">\u20ac210,000<\/span> in property tax (IBI)<\/li>\n<li><span class=\"accentue\">\u20ac340,000<\/span> in subsidies linked to fiscal revenue<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>And yet, no minimum services are provided.<\/p>\n<hr style=\"margin-bottom: 30px;\" \/>\n<h2>2019 municipal elections: call for mobilisation<\/h2>\n<p>We urge all residents to register for the <span class=\"accentue\">May 2019<\/span> elections. It would simply allow the town hall to continue avoiding its legal responsibilities.<\/p>\n<hr style=\"margin-bottom: 30px;\" \/>\n<h2>A political project to reintegrate Planas<\/h2>\n<p>Property owners wishing to change the current situation are welcome to join the <span class=\"accentue\">Collaboration Group<\/span>. Our goal is to form a <span class=\"accentue\">new political group<\/span>, democratic and pluralistic, to demand:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>municipal responsibility for basic services<\/li>\n<li>the full integration of Planas into the municipality<\/li>\n<li>the environmental and property value restoration of the area<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<hr style=\"margin-bottom: 30px;\" \/>\n<h2>A complaint to the European Parliament<\/h2>\n<p>A group of property owners filed a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.latribunedeplanas.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/08\/2018-08-08-petition-parlement-europe.pdf\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\">complaint with the European Parliament<\/a> over the deteriorated and neglected state of the urbanisation.
