In response to repeated water cuts<\/span> and the lack of maintenance of public lighting in Planas del Rey, several residents have decided to take action. Official complaints were filed with the Reus Court<\/span> during the summer.<\/p>\n Despite the legal obligations incumbent upon municipalities, the Pratdip Town Hall still refuses to intervene<\/span> in Planas del Rey. Neither the supply of drinking water nor public lighting is properly ensured, causing anger among residents.<\/p>\n Following the numerous water cuts in recent months and the municipal inaction regarding broken streetlights, several complaints have been filed<\/span> by residents, including G\u00e9rard, Fred, and Conchita, with the Reus Court<\/span>.<\/p>\n These individual legal actions are part of a broader desire for collective mobilisation<\/span>. The SOS Planas association<\/span> encourages all property owners to join this initiative and gather to file joint complaints<\/span> if necessary.<\/p>\n This citizen movement aims to uphold residents\u2019 fundamental rights and to remind that minimum public services are a legal obligation<\/span>, not a favour granted by the town hall.<\/p>\n For years, tensions have persisted between the residents of Planas del Rey and the Pratdip Town Hall. In 2018, protests had already taken place to demand essential services.
